John Benson demonstrates his lino-cut technique at Biddle Gallery, Saturday, October 25, 10AM-2PM.
A self-taught artist, Detroiter John Benson finds inspiration from the ancient manuscripts of Western Europe and Ethiopia. From these and other sources he has developed his own vocabulary of meaningful designs - endless line of Celtic crosses, Ethiopian protective images, and Norse narrative figures. John also creates work in a more naturalistic manner in other seasonal and general images.
John Benson's Halloween cards are currently available at Biddle Gallery along with an assortment of card designs for a mere 2.00.
